Joint Post Etiquette Empty Joint Post Etiquette

Post  Virkov Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:06 pm

Borrowed lovingly from the CO of the Triton

Just some suggestions for everyone to make life easy when we want to do joint posts together:

Start the title of the topic with the name of the mission followed by the character’s surnames.
Write your bits and leave a space for your fellow player to write their response.

For example:

Blah blah blah

< tag >

Blah blah blah
  • The responders should copy the whole post and add their bits.
  • This process should keep happening until the joint post is completed.
  • The starter of the joint post should then copy and paste the final copy of the joint post to the mission posting area.
  • Request for the thread to be locked/archived in the last post.

Forum-related Tip: To preserve the formatting of your partners' posts, use the Quote function built into the forum so that the forum copies the code of the post, but remove the quote tags. That saves time at the end from having to go back and bold and italicize the things which need that.

General Guideline: No one likes waiting for someone to respond to their tag. If it is a large group joint post, and you have not responded to your tag within 48 hours, your tag will be removed and the Joint Post will be carried on without you.
